It's been about a year since I released my android app Locale Auto-Sync Plug-in. The app is a plugin to another app called Locale, which allows you to control your phone's settings based on the "Locale", which includes things such as location, time, phone orientation, etc. My plugin allows you to control the "auto-sync" setting of the phone.

So how much money can you make in a year from a very simple $0.99 app with basically no marketing? About $290 or about $0.79 per day. If I were a more industrious type, I would simply create 1,000 apps and quit my day job. Although, that sounds like an awful lot of work.
